Miley Cyrus Defeated Britney’s Record

Miley Cyrus this week becomes the youngest hit-maker ever to amass three #1 albums on The Billboard 200. The 16-year old overachiever accomplishes the feat as the soundtrack to Hannah Montana: The Movie climbs to #1 in its fourth week. Cyrus breaks a record that had been held by Britney Spears, who was 19 when she landed her third #1 album, Britney, in 2001. Cyrus previously topped the chart with Breakout and Hannah Montana 2/Meet Miley Cyrus. (I’m not counting the first Hannah Montana soundtrack toward Cyrus’ total, because she didn’t yet have star billing. It was strictly a Hannah album.) Spears’ three #1 albums as a teenager were …Baby One More Time, Oops!…I Did It Again and Britney. Even after all her success, Cyrus is three months younger now than Spears was in November 1998 when she first cracked the Hot 100 with “…Baby One More Time.” Fame and fortune at an early age often take a toll on artists (think: Michael Jackson, or for that matter Spears, who went through a rough patch before rebounding with her current album and tour.) I hope Cyrus sidesteps these pitfalls as adroitly as former teen stars Justin Timberlake, Beyonce and Christina Aguilera have.

well, this is so much unfair!!! una kelly clarkson’s 97-1 jump in Hot 100 defeated britney’s womanizer 96-1 jump… ngaun si miley naman… nakakainis naman, britney has so much kept that record for a long time tapos makukuha lan ni Miley… i have nothing against miley, but no offense, nauna naman si briney… isa na nga lan ung sa mga maipagmamalaki ni britney inagaw pa… anyway, maramipa naman achievements si britney sana wag maagaw….

Kelly Clarkson Would break Britney’s Record

According to Billboard:

Kelly Clarkson will make history on this week’s Billboard Hot 100, to be posted tomorrow (Jan. 29) on Billboard.com, with the largest leap to No. 1 in the chart’s 50-year history.  Her new single, “My Life Would Suck Without You,” is set to rocket 97-1 after selling 280,000 digital downloads in its first week of availability. The song is also faring well at radio, jumping 58-38 on the Hot 100 Airplay chart and 27-18 on the Mainstream Top 40 list. 

“My Life” introduces Clarkson’s March 17 RCA album “All I Ever Wanted.” This is the second time the artist has set the record for largest jump to No. 1. She took her “American Idol” victory song, “A Moment Like This,” 52-1 on the chart dated October 5, 2002.

That mark lasted nearly five years until Maroon 5 soared 64-1 with “Makes Me Wonder” in May 2007 and had been broken four more times since, most recently by Britney Spears’ “Womanizer” (96-1).

Best and Worst Of Britney in 2008

Well, i made this list of the best and worst britney happenings in 2008…. from 10 to 1…. hope u enjoi them…

WORST:

•  10. Britney was suspended to drive. She was spotted dirving late August without any license.
•  9. Fans’ Negative Comments about Circus Album Cover. I know, it’s rude to say that  but it is true. SOme even said that the cover was a joke and a prank done in britney.com because it was Nov.1. But it was not a joke, it was real.
• 8. Kanye West. I hate this guy, he keeps on saying bad things about Britney. He even said one song of britney was entitled “Gimme Gimme” wherein actually it is “Gimme More”.
• 7. Take That and Taylor Swift. They tied, yay!!! So what’s with Take That? well, they entitled their album “The Circus” and relesed it also in December 2, just like what britney did and they are claiming that it was their first idea. And for Taylor Swift, her album “Fearless” took Britney’s Circus away from the top spot. I know, it’s all about competition… tsk tsk…
• 6. Lipsynching Performances. Well, ok lang naman sa akin na hindi siya kumakanta ng live. Pero some critics in europe badly criticized her live perfromances of womanizer.
• 5. Adnan Ghalib. Did i spell his name correctly?? Do you remember him? Well, he was the papparazzo britney was dating at the frist period of 2008. It was bad, totally…
• 4. The Usual Tabloid Mess. What’s new??? hahaha… they all lie…
• 3. Britney in psychiatric ward, twice. And it happened in the early period of 2008. Once was when she locked herself home to hide her son from Kevin Federline. That was shocking.
• 2. Custody Battle. This is the toughest fight of britney for her sons and earlier in 2008, she lost custody because of waht she did at home.
• 1. The worst is Her Father’s Conservatorship. I hope i spelled that correctly. Because of this, britney felt she was too controlled by her father and cannot move at ease, u know what i mean.

Well enough of the worst!!! Here are her BEST!!!

• 10. Magzine Covers and Photoshoots.  Well, 2008 proved that Britney really is getting better and that more people wanted to see her everywhere. Britney was cover of Rolling stone, elle, billboard etc…. 
• 9. How I Met You Mother. Britney had 2 episodes on HIMYM and it proved the fans and the viewers that britney also is a great actress. The show had its highest ratings since it started when britney was a guest. 
• 8. Circus Single And Video. So far, The song Circus is still at the top 10 of Billboard Hot 100 and and the top 20 of Billboard Top 40 Mainstream. The song also broke records fro britney and it is still doing well.
• 7. For The Record. Britney sets the record straig ht. And she wanted closures about issues and opened personal problmes to her fans thorugh this show that aired in MTV.
• 6. Performances in Good Morning America, Star Academy, X Factor, Bambi Awards and in NTV. She had this mini promotional tour to promote Circus and she did well while performing. It’s a good start for her upcoming tour.
• 5. Got Her Sexy Body Back. She was always spotted working out in gyms. And one tabloid released her pictures in a white bikini looking very hot and sexy with her slim body in the middle periods of 2008. 
• 4. Visitation Rights. Britney is still battling for her visitation rights and fortunately got some of the rights back.
• 3. Circus the Album. This album was number one in Billboard 200 and number in other charts worldwide. This was considered more sucessful than her previous album, Balckout.
• 2. Honors and Awards. She got 3 VMAS, 2 EMAS, Won Video of 2008 in Fusetv.com, nominated in NRJ and Virgin Media and many are still coming. What can still Britney ask for? hahaha…
• 1. Womanizer single. Britney really broke many records in her single WOmanizer and considered as her real comeback single. It topped most of the charts internationally and mostly praised by critics. 

well, that’s it… and we know that 2008 is Britney’s year and we hope 2009 will also be her year… Good luck to our girl…

Billboard releases top 10 albums of 2008 in U.S.

Another wow!!!!! another number one!!!! another recofnition for britney… As i can recall, last year, Blackout lost to the Eagles’ Album in the top spot of the Biullboard 200 but won as the reader’s choice on billboard’s website. And guess what, britney did not just got the top spot on the Billboard 200 this year, she also was recognized again as the reader’s choice!!!! Ang galing galing!!!!!

the song “circus” has already debuted in number 3 in Billboard hot 100 in the us. and womanizer still remains at number 10. while on the other hand, 2 songs that appear on the circus album debuted also on billboard hot 100 surprisingly!!!! even though they were not released… they are “Shattered Glass”(my favorite) at number 70 and “If U Seek Amy” at number 86.

Britney Breaks Records with album "CIRCUS"

Nabili mo na ba??? Naku kung hindi pa, bilhin mu na… Britney’s Album, “CIRCUS” is out on all records stores here in the Philippines. And guess what??? DELUXE EDITION ang nasa bansa natin!!!! yey!!!! I already bought mine, be sure to buy yours. And if u already have, just request your fave songs on our local radio stations and of course to MYX!!!!

Anyway, as the title says, BRITNEY BREAKS RECORDS…. opps! she did it again!!! yep, that’s true, Britney’s album sold almost a million copies of her album in just a week beating MAdonna, Mariah carey and beyonce’s records. And i Do belive she really is back now. Another record is that her single, “Circus”, will debut on Billboard Hot 100 on US at number 3…. An that’s her first “top 10 debut” in her entire career… So that’s really a good news…

Hopefully, maging successful din ang album and songs ni britney dito sa Philippines, and it would all be possible if we support her… ok??
